Discovery House Editor Paul Muckley Wins Nonfiction Editor of the Year Award

Grand Rapids, MI—Discovery House is pleased to announce that Paul Muckley was honored with a 2015 Golden Scroll Award as Nonfiction Editor of the Year by the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA). The awards were presented Sunday, June 28, at the Golden Scroll Award Banquet in Orlando, Florida. AWSA, which sponsors this event, is a professional support group made up of the top 10 percent of Christian women in both publishing and speaking.  

Muckley won this award for his editing on the Discovery House book Our Daily Bread for Kids: 365 Meaningful Moments with God. This popular book was written by the mother/daughter writing team of Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley and was released December 2014.  Regarding Muckley’s skills, Bowman said, “I don’t know how he does it, but his editing is amazing.”  

Carol Holquist, Vice-President of Global Publishing, said, “Paul is a fine editor, servant, and advocate for the authors he serves. He understands too that the editor must represent the needs of the intended audience if the book is to communicate effectively. We’re privileged to have him on the Discovery House team.”
