Partnering with Alistair Begg’s ministry, Truth For Life, and publishers from around the world, The Man on the Middle Cross is being translated into some of the world’s most widely spoken languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, German, Russian, and French.
This expanding translation effort is transforming the book into a truly global resource, serving churches, ministries, and readers throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and beyond. For example, at the recent Frankfurt Book Fair a team from local churches supported by Verbum Medien and 10Publishing were able to hand out thousands of copies in German and English for free to people in one of the city’s squares.
Inspired by Alistair Begg’s viral sermon video clip in 2019, the book retells the stories of three people who engaged with Jesus’ invitation of grace. It encourages readers to consider what answer they would give when arriving at the gates of heaven and presented with the question: “On what basis are you here?”

Alistair Begg is the Bible teacher at Truth for Life, a worldwide radio and digital ministry. He served as Senior Pastor at Parkside Church in Cleveland, Ohio, for over forty years. He graduated from theological college in London and served two churches in Scotland before moving to Ohio. He is married to Susan, and they have three grown children.
