CHARLOTTE, NC– The Good Book Company is excited to announce the upcoming release of Joni Eareckson Tada: The Girl Who Learned to Follow God In a Wheelchair (The Good Book Company, August 2024).
Written by renowned singer-songwriter and longtime friend of Joni Eareckson Tada, Kristyn Getty, the children’s picture book will highlight Joni’s ministry and faithful service as well as feature beautiful illustrations by Hsulynn Pang.
Joni Eareckson Tada is CEO of Joni and Friends, an organization that accelerates Christian outreach in the disability community. Joni and Friends provides practical support and spiritual help to special-needs families worldwide and equips thousands of churches in developing disability ministry. Joni is the author of numerous bestselling books, including When God Weeps, Diamonds in the Dust, A Step Further, winner of the Gold Medallion Award, and her latest A Spectacle of Glory.
The book will be a part of The Good Book Company’s popular Do Great Things for God biography series for ages 4 and up. The series features stories of faithful women through recent church history, including Amy Carmichael, Maria Fearing, and Corrie Ten Boom, encouraging young children that God uses ordinary people for his extraordinary purposes. The series also includes free online downloads, like worksheets, family activities and more.
