CAROL STREAM, Ill.— May 1, 2020— Tyndale House Publishers is pleased to announce that Chris Fabry, five-time Christy Award–winning author and 2018 inductee to the Christy Award Hall of Fame, was inducted into the Marshall University School of Journalism and Mass Communications Hall of Fame.
Chris Dickerson, president of the Marshall University School of Journalism and Mass Communications Hall of Fame Advisory Board, announced the news in a press release on April 29, 2020. In it, he shared, “We are extremely proud of all of our graduates, and it is an honor to welcome five more very deserving members to our hall of fame.”
The release further stated: “Fabry, a 1982 SOJMC graduate, is a bestselling author and an award-winning broadcaster. Primarily focusing his work on family and Christian issues, the Culloden native has written more than 80 books—including titles that have landed him on the New York Times bestseller lists—and has hosted national radio programs for more than 35 years.”

Chris Fabry, a 1982 graduate of the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University, is an award-winning author and radio personality who hosts the daily program Chris Fabry Live on Moody Radio. He is also heard on Love Worth Finding, Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman, and other radio programs. A native of West Virginia, Chris and his wife, Andrea, now live in Arizona and are the parents of nine children.
Chris’s novels, which include Overcomer, Dogwood, June Bug, Almost Heaven, The Promise of Jesse Woods, and Under a Cloudless Sky, have won five Christy Awards, an ECPA Christian Book Award, and two Awards of Merit from Christianity Today, but it’s his lyrical prose and tales of redemption that keep readers returning for more.
Chris has also published more than 70 other books, ranging from nonfiction and film novelizations, including the bestseller War Room, to novels for children and young adults. He coauthored the Left Behind: The Kids series with Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, as well as the Red Rock Mysteries and The Wormling series with Jerry B. Jenkins.
