Carol Stream, Ill. (April 22, 2022) — Tyndale House Publishers (@tyndalehouse) announced today that Jean Stoffer (@stofferhome, IG: jeanstofferdesign), popular interior designer and star of the Magnolia Network TV show The Established Home, will release her debut book in November. In Establishing Home, Jean shares her own journey and speaks into the dream many women have of having a happy family, meaningful work, and a beautiful, welcoming home. She answers the age-old question women ask, “Is it really possible to have all three?”
Jean Stoffer’s TV show, The Established Home, airs on Magnolia Network. The second season is expected to release late this year. Joanna Gaines gave Jean’s book a glowing endorsement, which will appear on the cover.
“Home is so much more than the sum of its parts, and this beautiful book will encourage you to keep pursuing that which fills the gaps.” ~Joanna Gaines, cofounder of Magnolia
In Establishing Home, Jean shares her story and her wisdom. She tells how necessity sparked her journey from part-time receptionist to founder of an award-winning home design company and star of a Magnolia Network TV show. When she was a young wife, her husband announced he was quitting his extremely stressful job to pursue another career, and she suddenly needed to bring in more family income. While she had a degree in business, her part-time job paid very little, and she had few obvious options for earning significantly more income. Despite no formal training in design, Jean began taking on design projects from friends who admired the way she decorated her own home, slowly building her skills and her business.
In this personal story with practical takeaways, Jean provides lessons learned during her journey of building a successful family business, creating beautiful spaces, and raising grounded children—guided by her faith and deeply-held values. Each chapter has tips on home design, running a business, and navigating common family issues, accompanied by beautiful color photographs featuring Jean’s classic home designs.
“Jean Stoffer’s story is proof that any home—and any life–can become even more beautiful. In Establishing Home, she shows us how,” said Jan Long Harris, executive publisher of Tyndale nonfiction. “Jean is an inspiring role model for women of all ages who dream of having a thriving family, satisfying work, and a welcoming home but who question whether it’s possible to combine all three. Her calm practicality, strong values, and transparency about lessons learned from mistakes made in her own journey make her an ideal guide for ours.”
Jean Stoffer’s debut release will be supported by a significant marketing budget as well as a national media tour. Tyndale has acquired world rights, in all languages.
