Tyndale House Publishers to launch new imprint Tyndale Elevate
Tyndale House Publishers announces their impending 2023 launch of Tyndale Elevate, a new imprint focused on expanding its catalog of books that address Christian worldview topics and apologetics. The imprint's “ask. seek. find.” tagline reflects Tyndale Elevate’s dedication to elevating the conversation around what matters most and helping people explore the issues, assumptions, and worldviews behind pressing challenges to the Christian faith in the twenty-first century.

(PW) Andrea Fleck-Nisbet, founding v-p and publisher of Nashville-based nonfiction imprint Harper Horizon, will succeed Angela Bole as CEO of the Independent Book Publishers Association, effective November 1. Bole will stay on until the end of November, before starting her role as CEO of the Firebrand Group.

Ingram enters the Business to Consumer space
(PW) Citing the growing publishing industry need for more direct marketing to consumers, the Ingram Content Group has begun rolling out its first B2C program. Ingram iD is an advertising platform developed specifically for book publishers by Ingram’s consumer marketing services department, which is directed by Kim Schutte.

“The Celebration Place” from IVP Kids receives 2022 Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Award
IVP Kids is pleased to announce that “The Celebration Place” by Dorena Williamson was selected as the winner of the 2022 Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Award in the Religious/Faith category. The Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Awards are sponsored by the National Black Book Festival (NBBF) and were established in honor of the late Jerry Pinkney, a world-renowned children’s book illustrator. Nominated titles for the award must be copyrighted in 2021 or 2022 and be either written by an African American author or have an African American theme.

The book also debuted at #36 on the ECPA Christian Bestsellers list in October 2022.

Kelley Earnhardt Miller on Jesus Calling Podcast
Kelley Earnhardt Miller lost both of her parents prematurely: her father—the famous NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Sr.—died in a car crash, and her mother from cancer. She recently joined The Jesus Calling Podcast to share how through it all, she kept God at the center and found her calling in her caring for her little brother, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., not only as a troubled teen but as a successful adult. Miller’s book, “Drive: 9 Lessons To Win In Business and in Life,” is available from Thomas Nelson.
