Crossway launches initiative to distribute 1 million Bibles to Christians in the Global South
Crossway is pleased to announce the launch of an initiative with the goal of distributing one million English Standard Version (ESV) Bibles around the world. These Bibles will be provided to Christians in places of great need with distribution beginning in 2023.

NPD predicts holiday book buying will be slower this year
(Publishing Perspectives) — In a trend reflecting reader behavior more than supply-chain issues, the American book market heads downward in NPD’s BookScan data with Kristen McLean reporting: “Last week diverged significantly from 2021, heading down and ending 14 percent below the same week in 2021, as the 2021 market was already heading up into an early holiday climb.” She highlights several data points that corroborate a slower holiday season this year:

A reconnection for religion scholars, publishers planned in Denver this weekend
(Publishers Weekly) — The 2022 Annual Meetings hosted by the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) and the American Academy of Religion (AAR) is expected to attract hundreds of biblical and religious scholars, authors, publishers, and others to Denver, from Saturday to Tuesday, November 19 to 22.
