Dr. David Anderson to present “Gracism in Publishing” to publishing leaders, May 9
Publishing leaders will gather in Nashville on May 9-10 for a series of sessions, discussions, and the annual industry awards event at the ECPA Leadership Summit. Among the many featured speakers will be Dr. David Anderson, award-winning author of “Gracism: The Art of Inclusion.” Dr. Anderson will reveal practical ways publishers can help build bridges to help us understand how to incorporate diversity in publishing.

IVP announces distribution and product fulfillment outsourcing to Longleaf Services
Building on its seventy-five-year tradition of developing and publishing thoughtful Christian content for both trade and academic markets, InterVarsity Press has announced a shift in its business operations. Starting in September 2023, IVP will begin outsourcing its order processing, customer service, and product fulfillment operations to Longleaf Services.

Registration is now open for the 2023 International Christian Rights & Export Fair, held June 27 & 28 on the campus of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. The event will welcome Christian publishers from around the globe to gather and meet with publishers, vendors and distributors. Attendees and exhibitors are invited to register early. Exhibitor space is limited.
Submission period for Christian fiction award opens this week
The nomination period for The Christy Award® will open this week on March 1, in nine fiction categories. All Christy Award submissions are open to works of fiction written from a Christian worldview, published traditionally or independently from March 2022 to March 2023. Submitters may also opt to nominate a title to be considered for the Christy Amplify Award on the application for no extra fee. For more information, visit the submissions tab at TheChristyAward.com.

Author Tara Sun on Jesus Calling Podcast
Tara Sun recently joined the Jesus Calling Podcast to share how she had a plan for her life—med school, marriage, and then ministering to her community. At a very young age, though, Tara’s life took a major turn with an unusual medical diagnosis. She had to reframe her entire life as she dealt with her illness. What she discovered at this time became the focus of her writing and the message she wants to share with others. Sun’s new book, “Surrender Your Story,” is available from Thomas Nelson.
