ECPA releases Christian Publisher Audience Survey for its members
In response to member feedback on what research would be of most value to them, the ECPA Research Committee commissioned the services of JET Marketing to find out the reading and buying preferences of book and Bible buyers among ECPA publishers’ respective audiences. The survey was conducted in June and July of 2023 and includes demographics and buying behavior; media engagement; resource engagement; and relationship with church among customers of ECPA publishers. ECPA members are now able to purchase the full report.
At BMI: Publishers and printers discuss future
The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI) hosted its industry event, Book Manufacturing Mastered, on Thursday September 14, 2023 at the Penguin Random House offices in New York City. Book Manufacturing Mastered 2023 was the largest yet, with over 155 registrants, almost half being publishers.

ECPA Christian Collective heads to Frankfurt Book Fair
In two weeks, 17 rights professionals from eight Christian publishing companies will display their titles and conduct licensing meetings as the ECPA Christian Collective at the Frankfurt International Book Fair. ECPA has represented Christian publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair each year for more than 20 years and provides member publishers with a complete set of exhibit hosting services. Reservations to participate in the 2024 collective at the Frankfurt and London Book Fairs will be underway soon. Contact Cynthia for more information.
Call for Entries: Outreach Resources of the Year
Outreach magazine is now accepting submissions for its annual Outreach Resources of the Year, which will be featured in the March/April 2024 issue. The Resources of the Year honors resources specifically focused on outreach in areas such as evangelism, apologetics, compassionate service and cross-cultural ministry.

Rod Wilson, former president of Regent College, has received a Word Award for his book “Thank You. I’m Sorry. Tell Me More.” (NavPress, 2022). The Word Awards honor “the Best of Canadian Christian Writing,” and award recipients for works published in 2022 were announced on September 19.
