Peabody, MA—Hendrickson Publishers is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Robert A. Hand (PhD, Calvin Theological Seminary) to the position of acquisitions editor. “We’re thrilled to have Robert join the Hendrickson team!” said Hannah Terenzoni, Hendrickson’s publishing director. “We think his creativity, knowledge, and industry experience will be a great contribution to the work we do.” He joins the Hendrickson team of Patricia Anders, editorial director, and editors Dr. Jonathan G. Kline and Dr. Karen DeCrescenzo Lavery.
Dr. Hand’s extensive editorial and acquisitions experience includes working with Baker Academic, Brazos Press, Kregel Academic & Ministry, and consulting with numerous other academic presses. A resident of Tyler, Texas, he teaches at George W. Truett Theological Seminary and LeTourneau University in the areas of biblical studies, theology, and philosophy. His interests include philosophical and historical theology, biblical studies, and languages. In addition to multiple academic articles and presentations, he is the author of Presupposing God: Theological Epistemology in Immanuel Kant’s Transcendental Idealism and Karl Barth’s Theological Method, published in the Princeton Theological Monograph Series.
“Hendrickson has an unusually accomplished history and very bright future of publishing leading works in biblical studies and languages and related reference works, as well as important primary source material and theological content,” said Dr. Hand. “We have an extraordinarily talented, energized, and well-resourced team, and I am honored to be a part of what’s ahead.”
