Paul Santhouse retires from Moody; Randall Payleitner announced as VP of Publishing
Moody Bible Institute has announced that Paul Santhouse, a 40-year veteran in the publishing industry, will be retiring from his role as vice president of publishing at Moody Publishers. His retirement is effective June 30, 2024. With Santhouse’s retirement, Moody also announced the promotion of Randall Payleitner to serve as the next vice president of publishing, effective July 1, 2024. Payleitner currently serves as publisher.

ECPA is accepting submissions for the Top Shelf Book Cover Awards until August 15 in the categories of Non-Fiction, Fiction, Children, and Bibles, for titles published between June 2023 and August 2024. Winners will be announced November 13th during the ECPA PubU opening session in Chicago.

ECPA PubU 2024 marks twenty years of training up Christian publishing leaders
ECPA’s annual fall training program – ECPA PubU – will return as an in-person event in 2024 on November 13-14 at the Hilton DoubleTree Suites Conference Center, outside Chicago in Downers Grove. The Chicago-area is where PubU was initially hosted in 2004, its debut year. Early bird registration is now open for the event, now in its 20th year of training Christian publishing practitioners in major publishing roles.

Marcus Brotherton and Tosca Lee’s WWII novel wins International Book Award
On June 18, American Book Fest announced the winners of the 2024 International Book Awards (IBAs). Revell authors Marcus Brotherton and Tosca Lee received the IBA in the Historical Fiction category for their WWII cowrite, “The Long March Home: A World War II Novel of the Pacific.”
