August Bestseller lists released tomorrow
The Christian bestseller lists, released by ECPA based on Circana Bookscan data, will be released tomorrow reflecting August’s top book sales in 15 categories and posted in ReadGoodBooks.com. To be added to the distribution list, sign up here.
Christy Award Gala to honor impact of speculative fiction author Sharon Hinck
The Christy Award®, honoring Christian fiction in nine genres, will host its in-person Winners Gala this fall on November 14 outside Chicago in Downers Grove. The evening will announce the year’s best Christian novels, and honor novelist Sharon Hinck, award-winning speculative author, who will be inducted in The Christy Hall of Fame. The evening will also feature reflections on the impact of J.R.R. Tolkein’s writing to the Christian imagination and storytelling. Early bird registration for the pre-event Art of Writing Conference and the Winners Gala is open now.

Last week for Top Shelf Book Cover Award entries
This is the last week for submissions for the Top Shelf Book Cover Awards. The deadline is this Thursday, August 15. Nominations are accepted in Non-Fiction, Fiction, Children, and Bibles, published between June 2023 and August 2024. Winners will be announced November 13th during the ECPA PubU opening session in Chicago, which will also feature a session track for design professionals.

Last month for PubU scholarship nominations for Emerging Leaders
ECPA members are invited to nominate the emerging leaders in their companies before September 20 to receive a scholarship to ECPA PubU and participate in a year-long mentor program. ECPA PubU will be held near Chicago, in Downers Grove, on November 13-14 with sessions offered in Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, Production & Operations, Design, and Children’s Books – along with other classes and resources for Christian publishing professionals.
