ECPA names 25 industry Emerging Leaders for PubU scholar & mentor program
Emerging Leader scholars will participate in ECPA PubU, November 13-14 in Chicago, and be matched with an industry mentor for year-long mentorship
TEMPE, ARIZ., OCT. 2, 2024 – ECPA has announced the recipients of the Emerging Leader scholarship and mentorship program for ECPA PubU – the industry’s training and networking event for Christian publishing professionals, taking place in the Chicago area on November 13-14.
Nominations were made by Christian publishing companies to invest in the emerging leaders in their organizations. Since 2016, 128 emerging leaders have gone through the program, adding now an additional 25 professionals from 18 companies.
“Every year it is encouraging to see the class of professionals nominated by their companies,” stated ECPA president Jeff Crosby. “This year, there are those who are new to their career, along with those who have extensive professional experience in other industries. But all are freshly starting out their careers in Christian publishing and their companies are investing in their promise as an industry leader.”
Jamie Lapeyrolerie, editor for WaterBrook and Multnomah and veteran leader on the ECPA PubU Brain Trust, is the coordinator of this year’s Emerging Leader program. She will match each emerging leader with an industry mentor for the coming year. Jamie has developed two sessions specifically for the scholars, who will meet together the morning PubU begins on November 13. She says: “I’m thrilled about how this year’s scholar program has come together. From all the wonderful nominees who will be a part of the program to the industry professionals that will be sharing their wisdom during the two sessions, this is going to be another incredible year.”
