COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., October 30, 2025 — Penguin Random House today celebrates the one-year anniversary of the Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group, marking a year of significant growth, strategic expansion, and deepened investment in Christian publishing.
“When we first announced the expansion of our Christian publishing program into a standalone division, our goal was to renew our focus on market growth and dedicate additional resources to the Christian publishing program,” said Manuel Sansigre, Chief Financial Officer, Penguin Random House, and Campbell Wharton, Senior Vice President and Publisher, Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group, in a joint statement. “This initiative set out to expand our readership, strengthen connections with audiences, and broaden the range of books and content we offer for the Christian community. One year later, we are proud to see that vision taking root and bearing fruit.”
Over the past twelve months, PRH Christian Publishing Group has established a strong foundation for continued growth and impact through a new business plan and strategy designed to give authors a more holistic publishing experience—one that amplifies their voices and connects them with readers in deeper, more meaningful ways.
Highlights from PRH Christian’s first year include:
- Bestselling Success: Twenty-seven national bestsellers across various bestseller lists, spanning both adult and children’s titles.
- Book of the Year: Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer was honored as the ECPA Christian Book of the Year.
- Team Growth: Nine new staff members joined the division, including the formation of a new Creative Services Department dedicated to elevating author storytelling through design and visual excellence.

“We are a uniquely Christian division within Penguin Random House,” Sansigre and Wharton added. “That identity guides everything we do—how we collaborate, how we serve our authors, and how we reach readers with messages that matter. This first year is just the beginning of an extraordinary journey—one rooted in purpose, strengthened by faith, and inspired by the belief that great books can change lives.”
