New role signals renewed focus on growing bookstore partnerships
NEW KENSINGTON, PA, July 31, 2026 — Whitaker Corporation is pleased to announce that Britt Edwards has joined the company as Bookstore Accounts Sales Manager, a newly created position focused on strengthening and growing relationships with independent Christian bookstores nationwide.
The new role reflects Whitaker Corporation’s renewed commitment to its bookstore accounts, an area of the business the company is prioritizing. Edwards will lead efforts to deepen existing bookstore partnerships, identify new account opportunities, and help bookstore owners grow their businesses through Anchor Distributors’ products and programs.
Edwards brings more than three decades of experience in Christian retail, publishing, and wholesale distribution. Most recently, he served as Co-Manager at Hobby Lobby in Coralville, Iowa. Earlier in his career, he was the General Manager of a new Christian bookstore in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, overseeing everything from store layout and vendor relationships to marketing and staffing. His background also includes significant roles at Family Christian Stores, Crossway Publishers, QuickVerse, Spring Arbor Distributors, and LifeWay Christian Stores.
Edwards holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in Management and a minor in Finance, from Baylor University.
