This Present Darkness: 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — October 2, 2026 — Often credited with creating the Christian thriller genre, Frank Peretti is partnering with David C Cook Publishing to release a 40th anniversary collector’s edition of his best-selling book, This Present Darkness, on November 10, 2026.
Four decades ago Peretti transformed Christian fiction, blending supernatural suspense with themes of prayer, courage, angels and demons, and spiritual warfare. And now, the novel that explores the struggle between good and evil from a faith perspective boasts a collection of special features, including:
- Exclusive author content: an all-new introduction & concluding remarks explore the book’s legacy
- Original manuscript images: reproductions of the hand-written manuscript precede each chapter
- Deluxe hardcover design: a double-sided, die-cut dust jacket with a new map printed on the inside protect the colored page edges
