OCTOBER 14, 2026 – Total Printing Systems (TPS) and Cardinal Publishers Group (Cardinal) are pleased to announce that on October 2nd, 2026, Cardinal Publishers Group formerly began to operate as a partner of TPS. Tom Doherty (owner of Cardinal) and the Lindemann family (owners of TPS) have come to an agreement which will allow both entities to operate in a greater capacity within the industry.
“Total Printing Systems has always been a bit of a misnomer for us. We’re a book printer. Our focus is books, and that’s where we want to be. With this partnership, we’ll be able to offer distribution services to our existing client base, perfectly complementing our print services. Essentially, we’ll finally be a one-stop-shop for books”, stated RJ Lindemann, Vice President of TPS. “Tom Doherty matches our enthusiasm for this industry, and in him, I don’t think we could ask for a better partner.”
“I couldn’t be more pleased to have found a partner that shares similar values to ours,” said Tom Doherty, President of Cardinal Publishers Group. “We both have a mind on the future. We want to give our clients the security and stability they need to build their business upon. By joining with TPS, we are ensuring that we can continue to serve our clients well into the future with expanded capabilities and service offerings.”
It’s business as usual for both companies, but they’re both going to be making an effort to integrate their service offerings, and provide more affordability and reliability than a publisher could otherwise expect with their services remaining separate. If you print books, they highly encourage you to take a look at TPS. Cardinal will continue to accept books printed from other vendors, but they have secured preferential pricing for their clients (most importantly, free shipping to Cardinal’s Indianapolis location!). If you already print books and you want to get them in a book store, Cardinal will be the company that helps make that possible. If there are any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to RJ or Tom.
