Sanders and her husband, Denny, served as chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team following natural disasters and mass shootings, including the Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Sandy, the Aurora theater shooting, and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The memoir connects those experiences with the everyday decisions and unexpected circumstances that taught the couple to live by the words that became their family motto.
The book follows their journey from small-town Alabama through the loss of Sanders’s mother, years of infertility, two international adoptions, an unexpected pregnancy, and her own lupus diagnosis. It also recounts the couple’s transition into disaster ministry, where they provided spiritual and emotional care to people facing devastating loss.

About the author
Ginger Sanders served with her husband, Denny, as a Chaplain Coordinator with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. She has also served as a chaplain for local law enforcement and hospitals, led marriage seminars, and taught Bible studies. Let Go and Don’t Worry About It is her fourth book. She is also the author of the award-winning picture book Fireflies: Sharing God’s Light in the Time of Loss. Sanders lives in Florida with Denny, her high school sweetheart.
