Grand Rapids, Mich., December 14, 2017 — Zondervan announced today a five-book contract with Lisa Leonard, including two trade books, a devotional, a four-color gift book and a four-color children’s book. Leonard is the founder and creative director of Lisa Leonard Designs. She started making jewelry as a hobby-business and together with her husband Steve, built it into a multi-million-dollar company that today employs more than 200 people in four countries. Leonard is represented by Lisa Jackson of Alive Agency and world rights were acquired by Zondervan acquisitions editor Carolyn McCready.
The first trade book, titled Brave Love is set for release in February 2019. As a devoted wife, mother of two children—one with special needs—and successful business owner, Leonard understands the difficulty of keeping all the plates spinning and all the people happy. In Brave Love, she addresses the pressure many women feel to be the best wife, mom and professional, they can be—often at the expense of their own identity.

Lisa, Steve, and their two sons, David and Matthias, live on the Central Coast of California. She enjoys speaking and writing, and has partnered with Compassion International to change lives in the Dominican Republic. In her free time, Lisa’s favorite things are treasure hunting at local thrift stores, dabbling in photography, and having heart-to-heart conversations over coffee.
