Without Warning follows J.B. Collins, a New York Times foreign correspondent, as he attempts to convince the President of the United States of the possible imminent catastrophic attack inside the American homeland if an all-out manhunt to capture or kill Abu Khalif, the leader of ISIS, is not conducted immediately.
The book shares a timely lesson in light of last week’s ISIS attack in London – if we misunderstand the nature and threat of evil, we risk being blindsided by it.
“While the story of Without Warning is purely fictional, it portrays the very real and grave threats that the forces loyal to – and inspired by – the Islamic State pose to the American people,” said Rosenberg. “The attack on our British ally was a stark reminder that such terror could strike inside the U.S. homeland without warning if our leaders do not aggressively improve defensive measures to protect the American people, and launch far more aggressive offensive measures to decisively defeat the Islamic State and other militant Islamist group.”
Rosenberg is a former political aide to U.S. and Israeli leaders and derives his story lines from his personal conversations with world leaders and intelligence operatives. A dual U.S. and Israeli citizen, he resided in Washington for 24 years and currently lives in Israel with his family.
He is no stranger to the bestsellers list. Author of 12 novels and five nonfiction books, with more than 3 million copies sold, he is known for story lines that feel ripped straight from tomorrow’s headlines. U.S. News & World Report once called him a “modern-day Nostradamus.” The New York Daily News said his books are “eerily prophetic.”
A wide range of leaders around the world have endorsed his books, including Lt. General (Ret.) William G. “Jerry” Boykin, the former commander of Delta Force; former presidential candidates Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Rick Santorum; former Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon; former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Porter Goss; and former CIA operative in Iran and bestselling author Reza Kahlili.
Fiction fans and writers alike have also taken note of Rosenberg’s page-turning plots. The late Vince Flynn endorsed Rosenberg’s first novel, The Last Jihad. Additionally, radio and television host Rush Limbaugh said, “Rosenberg has become one of the most entertaining and thought-provoking novelists of our day. Regardless of your political views, you’ve got to read his stuff.”
NBC Today host Kathie Lee Gifford noted, “He writes the greatest thrillers set in the Middle East, with so much knowledge of that part of the world….Fabulous! I’ve read every book he’s ever written!” And TheBlaze Founder Glenn Beck recently tweeted, “One of my favorite writers. Clancy eat your heart out.”
The first two books in the J.B. Collins trilogy are The Third Target, released in January 2015, and The First Hostage, released in December 2015. Without Warning is available through major online retailers and in bookstores nationwide. For more information, visit JoelRosenberg.com.
