Philip Nation named VP and Publisher for Thomas Nelson Bibles
HarperCollins Christian Publishing today announced the company has hired Philip Nation to lead as v-p, publisher for Thomas Nelson Bibles. He will join the organization on December 2nd and report to John Kramp, senior v-p, Bibles and Spanish Group publisher for HarperCollins Christian Publishing.

More than 200 publishing professionals will gather for ECPA PubU tomorrow at Lipscomb University in Nashville. During the opening session, the year’s best book cover designs will be named as winners of the Top Shelf Awards. Nationally acclaimed artist Wayne Brezinka will help announce the winners. Brezinka will also lead the first session in the PubU design track and will have some of his artwork displayed. The Top Shelf Book Cover Awards recognize the year’s best book and Bible designs and honor design excellence in the industry. A record number of submissions were received by Christian publishers this year.
ECPA thanks the 2019 PubU Brain Trust for developing stellar PubU program commencing tomorrow
Each year leaders from the industry form a “Brain Trust” committee to develop the ECPA PubU program held each Fall. This year’s committee was led by Dave Schroeder (B&H) and Randall Payleitner (Moody). Tomorrow, more than 200 professionals in Christian publishing will gather in Nashville for training, connection, and inspiration through more than 40 sessions offered in six tracks. ECPA thanks nine industry leaders for generously volunteering their time and expertise to put together this year’s program and recruiting the PubU faculty of more than 50 speakers:

Honoring the 30 finalists of The Christy Award® for the year’s best Christian fiction
Out of 30 finalists, the winners in nine fiction categories plus the Book of the Year, will be announced Wednesday night at The Christy Award Gala held at Lipscomb University’s new George Shinn Center.

IVP releases book by United States presidential candidate

Growing Pains actor Jeremy Miller on Jesus Calling podcast to discuss book
