ECPA develops Industry Resource webpage for COVID-19 crisis
ECPA has set up an online Resource Center to help the industry learn what Christian publishers and industry service providers are doing to navigate the COVID-19 crisis. The web page includes resources, news, and updates from ECPA members and retailers. ChristianBook, Parable, and Munce have all contributed updates. “The more we can learn from each other, the stronger the Christian publishing industry will become,” states ECPA president Stan Jantz. To contribute to this page, contact ECPA.
Christian Book Award finalists announced tomorrow: Winners to be announced in online broadcast
ECPA will be announcing the Christian Book Award® finalists in twelve categories tomorrow, March 31. The winners in each category, plus the Book of the Year Award, will be announced in a virtual Awards Celebration, held on May 5. “More than ever, it’s important celebrate and publicize the outstanding books and Bibles produced by ECPA publishers,” states ECPA president Stan Jantz. “The church and our nation are looking for hope, and that’s what ECPA publishers offer through the amazing books they publish.”
Reminder: Christy Award submissions for Christian Fiction accepted for another month
Tomorrow would have been the deadline for Christian fiction submissions in nine categories to The Christy Award® program, but the deadline has been extended to April 30.

IPG continues to serve booksellers, publishers, and readers amid COVID-19 crisis
Independent Publishers Group (IPG), which serves hundreds of small publishers around the world, is keeping their Chicago-based warehouse open as it falls within the guidelines for essential business during the “shelter-in-place” order issued by Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker in response to COVID-19. The physical office remains closed, with all office staff now shifted to working remotely.

Shannon Marchese named V-P, Publisher of Tommy Nelson
Thomas Nelson announced the company has hired Shannon Marchese to lead Tommy Nelson, the children's imprint for Thomas Nelson, as v-p, publisher. She will join the organization on April 13 and will report to Laura Minchew, senior v-p, Children's and Gift Group publisher for HarperCollins Christian Publishing.

Thomas Nelson announced Jessica Wong as the executive editor for Nelson Books, a nonfiction imprint of Thomas Nelson. Wong has spent a total of seven years in editorial at Thomas Nelson, beginning her career in 2007 as an editorial assistant and returning in 2014 as a senior acquisitions editor. In this role she served as the editorial leader for top industry author brands including Lysa TerKeurst and Jen Hatmaker.

Adventure Bible brand celebrates 10 million units sold
Zondervan Bible Group, a division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, announced that the Adventure Bible brand has surpassed 10 million units sold. Created in 1989 by Dr. Larry Richards, "The Adventure Bible" is the best-selling children’s Bible in the country.
