Ada, Mich. (March 8, 2021) — Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, announces the signing of Entrusted Women founder Kia Stephen’s first published book in a deal negotiated by Jevon Bolden of Embolden Media Group.
“As a woman of color, it is important that I partner with a publisher that sees me and is excited about the unique message God has given me to share with the world,” said Kia Stephens. “In my initial meeting with Andrea Doering, I knew I had found this in Revell Books and the Baker Publishing Group. The Revell team has overwhelmingly demonstrated a passion for my forthcoming book project, Overcoming Father Wounds and I am honored to partner with them as we offer hope and practical solutions to women who have been wounded by their fathers.”
Scheduled for a Spring 2023 release, her book will focus on helping women with father wounds learn to let go of past hurt and rejection and lean into the love of God the father instead. Stephens will offer women vulnerable stories, biblical examples, and practical steps to identify father wounds and begin the process of overcoming them.
“Kia’s ability to take on a tough subject with a tender, compassionate voice fits so well with the kind of work we love to promote at Revell,” says Revell Editorial Director Andrea Doering. “She’s got a perfect combination in this book of helping readers see a bigger picture, understanding God’s purpose and placement of themselves within it, and offering practical steps toward a better future.”
Kia Stephens is passionate about encouraging the hearts of women. She is founder of Entrusted Women, a group of more than 1200 Christian women communicators of color. She is a regular contributor for iBelieve.com, Beloved Women, Proverbs 31 Ministries, and Crosswalk. She also curates a Facebook group for women with father wounds and has partnered with Salem Web Network to create the Hope for Women with Father Wounds Podcast.
