Carol Stream, Ill. (March 31, 2025) — Tyndale House Publishers (@tyndalehouse) announced today that Angie Smith, acquired by Sarah Atkinson, vice president of Tyndale Books and Alliances, and Kara Leonino, associate director of Acquisitions and Curriculum, in a major deal, will publish her next two trade books, accompanying study guides, and video resources with Tyndale Momentum.
With more than a decade of speaking, writing, and Bible teaching, Smith has authored many works, including her trade books (I Will Carry You, What Women Fear, Mended, Chasing God, Woven) and children’s books (Audrey Bunny, For Such a Time as This). These books, and her bestselling Bible studies (Seamless, Matchless), have made a significant impact on Christian women. Smith’s commitment to making the Bible accessible, along with her unique ability to evoke laughter and tears in one teaching session, continues to resonate with her audience.
Her first Tyndale Momentum book, tentatively titled Into the Deep, will tackle the psychological and spiritual reasons we are tempted to live shallow lives and will offer insight on how to overcome those temptations. With her signature style, Smith will incorporate biblical teaching, storytelling, and humor, inviting women to explore the depths of their hearts while getting honest with God and others. She will encourage readers to choose a life of substance and authenticity over our culture’s obsession with quick, easy, and shallow living.
“The first time I ever heard Angie speak was years ago at a small conference breakout session for moms. I have never forgotten the care she took with those women—the way she saw them, ministered to them, and prayed with them,” said Atkinson. “I knew then and there that she was the real deal, and I’ve wanted to publish her ever since. We are all thrilled that Angie has chosen Tyndale as her publishing partner.”
“In the short time I’ve been a part of the Tyndale family, they have already made it feel like home. I can’t wait to see what will happen in the coming days and have no doubt our partnership will lead to great and beautiful things; I am endlessly grateful for their support and belief in me!” shared Smith.
“This proposal couldn’t have come at a better time for our world,” shared Leonino. “Angie is one of the most beloved and trusted voices for Christian women. She balances humor, depth, and wisdom to tackle the spiritual and mental reasons we are tempted to live shallow lives—and how to overcome them. It’s an honor to work on such an important and impactful book.”
Angie Smith is represented by Curtis Yates and Karen Yates at Yates & Yates.
