God Has Redeemed You for Himself

What does God’s abiding presence mean in moments of pain? Does he sympathize with us? Where is true rest in a world of stress and suffering? These are good questions, and our redemption in Christ speaks to every one of them. In You Are Redeemed: Devotions for Living a Whole New Life (New Growth Press/March 17, 2025), Nana Dolce helps women see how God, in his Word, draws near to make himself known.
Although we live in a dark world with disease, distress, distractions, and discouragement, God’s presence transforms each moment of each day, giving us the strength to persevere in love and faith. Through Dolce’s 40-day devotional journey through the book of Exodus, readers will experience how the same God who lived among his people long ago is still present today—guiding, helping, listening, delivering, and redeeming.
In the introduction, Dolce writes, “Access to God’s presence during the book of Exodus is awesome, but it also presents a temporary system with strictly defined roles and boundaries. Simply put, certain people can approach God on specific occasions, and often at a distance. The reader can’t help but wonder, Is this as good as it gets? Is this restricted followership on Mount Sinai the closest God’s people will ever get to their Redeemer? Friend, the gospel gives an emphatic NO to that question! What began in Exodus has its complete fulfillment in Jesus Christ—the Son of God who came in the flesh to dwell with humanity and is preparing a place in God’s heavenly house for his church.”
At the beginning of each day, Dolce shares a mix of relatable modern-day and historical stories, then ties them back to the experiences of the Israelites to better understand how the book of Exodus is relevant to Christians today. You Are Redeemed follows an easy-to-follow format of a Scripture reading, devotional reflection, and simple application questions and is suitable for individuals or small groups. The devotions are relatable for busy women of all ages and stages, making this book perfect for gift-giving as well. Women will experience the presence of Godand learn to lean on him as they journey through this broken world.
“You Are Redeemed will take you on an eight-week journey to encounter the Redeemer who: 1) remembers, 2) redeems, 3) provides, 4) covenants, 5) reveals, 6) judges and restores, 7) prepares, and 8) dwells with his people. Sister, in Christ, you have been redeemed by one greater than Moses for a whole new life,” Dolce explains. “You can face the joys and pains of today with this confident hope: The God who redeemed you for himself is at this moment sustaining and preparing you for a glorious eternal home with him! We are the new covenant people of God—women redeemed from the bondage of sin and death. This is true—and yet, the full experience of our redemption is still to come.”
This beautifully designed devotional is the third in the Gospel Truth for Women series, helping women to identify their struggles, go to Scripture to meet God, then share those truths with family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Previously released titles include You Are Welcomed by Trish Donohue and You Are Secure by Aimee Joseph. Additional titles will be released in fall 2025 and beyond by a variety of authors.
