BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Four new Bible studies from Lifeway Women aim to aid churches and individuals in discipleship this fall. Participants will learn biblical truth, as well as how to navigate the challenges of modern culture with God’s Word.
“We are thrilled to release these powerful new studies—each one a fresh invitation to deepen your journey with the Lord,” said Andrea Lennon, director of Lifeway Women. “These studies highlight vital aspects of our faith walk, from discovering unshakable joy and cultivating true well-being to developing spiritual strength and embracing godly wisdom for life.
“As you open God’s Word, you’ll be challenged to grow, encouraged by truth, equipped for the journey, and inspired to pursue Jesus with renewed passion and purpose.”
Daring Joy by Nicole Zasowski
Licensed marriage and family therapist Nicole Zasowski points women to the “fullness of joy” that Jesus promises in the Scriptures in her new seven-session study, “Daring Joy: What Six Women in the Bible Teach Us About the Power of Celebration When it Feels Risky, Complicated, and Even Impossible.” Drawing from the lives of six biblical women—Eve, Sarah, Miriam, Mary the mother of Jesus, Elizabeth and Mary Magdalene—Zasowski explores how joy is not circumstantial but rooted in God’s character. “Joy requires us to open ourselves up to the possibility of disappointment and loss,” Zasowski writes, “making it one of the most courageous emotions we can experience.”
More Than Enough by Christine Hoover
When Bible teacher and women’s minister Christine Hoover began writing “More Than Enough: God’s Strength in Our Weakness,” her oldest son was diagnosed with cancer. That season of suffering became the foundation for this verse-by-verse study of 2 Corinthians. “These experiences are the moments where what we believe meets real life,” she writes in reflecting upon her family’s journey with cancer. Hoover challenges the cultural idol of self-sufficiency and invites women to discover God’s strength in their vulnerability. The eight-session study includes teaching videos and reflection prompts designed to help women find God’s sustaining power in life’s hardest moments.
Body & Soul by Lisa Whittle
In “Body & Soul,” author and Bible teacher Lisa Whittle addresses the often-neglected connection between physical health and spiritual life. Whittle offers a countercultural approach to help women find lasting relief in grounded, evergreen body worth and identity. Using a scriptural framework, Whittle lays out a “whole body theology” to address cultural body issues on the foundation of Imago Dei. “Every day we’re bombarded with messages about our bodies,” said Whittle in this six-session study. “Fix this, change that. But what if we stopped seeing our bodies as projects to perfect and instead understood and embraced them as God’s incredible design?”
The Way of Wisdom by Jen Wilkin and others
Featuring contributions from six respected Bible teachers—Jen Wilkin, Ruth Chou Simons, Kelly Minter, Adrienne Camp, Elizabeth Woodson and Courtney Doctor—“The Way of Wisdom” offers a collaborative exploration of biblical wisdom from Proverbs. The study seeks to bring godly principles to everyday topics like words, work, friendship, marriage, parenting, leadership and more.
Laura Magness, editor of “The Way of Wisdom,” writes in its introduction, “We’ll come to understand what it means when Scripture tells us, ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom’ (Proverbs 9:10). We’ll be taught how to interpret the principles behind the wisdom sayings and apply them to every area of our lives…. And we’ll see that what is true of all Scripture is true of Proverbs: this is a book of the Bible that points us to Jesus, the true and wise One who is the way and shows us how to walk in Him.”
Each study has video components and leader guides, as well as free promotional assets available at lifeway.com/women.

Sadly, we live in a world where child abuse can happen in any community, even a faith-based one. That’s why it is vitally important to teach children the safety skills that will help protect themselves from mistreatment, unsafe situations, violence, bullying, cyber-crimes, predatory behavior, abuse, and other kinds of danger that they might encounter. A new curriculum designed for Christian schools teaches children how to confidently assess and respond to potentially unsafe situations and people.
