ECPA to honor John and Elizabeth Sherrill with the Kenneth N. Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award
On behalf of the Christian publishing industry, ECPA will present the Kenneth N. Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award to John and Elizabeth (Tib) Sherrill on May 1st at the ECPA Awards Celebration in Washington, D.C., among the industry’s publishing leaders. John died in December at the age of 94. Elizabeth will personally accept the honor for both of them that evening.
ECPA posts bestselling Christian Easter titles for 2018
Based on NPD Bookscan data during the 2018 Easter season, ECPA has posted the bestselling Christian Easter titles in both Juvenile and NonFiction categories. The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel (Zondervan) was the #1 bestselling nonfiction title. God Gave Us Easter by Lisa Tawn Bergren (WaterBrook) was the #1 bestselling juvenile title.

Christian publishing professionals to gather in Nairobi for Magazine Publishing Institute
Christian magazine publishing professionals serving in Africa are invited to attend the first of a ten-year program of training events to be offered by Magazine Training International (MTI). The first Magazine Publishing Institute will be held 30 September - 7 October, 2018, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Christianity Today was honored with top publishing awards-32 in total-at the Evangelical Press Association's (EPA) annual convention April 4-6, 2018 in Orlando. For the second year in a row, both CT print magazine and website, ChristanityToday.com, won Awards of Excellence in the General Publication category.

NFL Star Rashad Jennings shares themes from his new book at Children’s Hospital and Boys & Girls Club
Former record-setting NFL star, “Dancing with the Stars” champion, actor and philanthropist Rashad Jennings visited with the families and patients at the Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Rashad shared themes from his new book, “THE IF IN LIFE: How to Get Off Life’s Sidelines and Become Your Best Self” (Zondervan), answered questions from those in attendance, played a game and met attendees. Earlier in the week, he surprised 130 youth at the Cleveland Park Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee, and shared with them messages of nutrition, literacy and overcoming obstacles.

Carla Laureano, author of "The Saturday Night Supper Club" (Tyndale), will be hosting a Facebook Live book club with readers on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM PDT. Bible Society Australia is launching The Invisible Book – a user-generated video content series that may help bring the Bible back to Australia’s youth. The Invisible Book is designed to show Australia’s youth there’s a book behind the books they’re studying at school -- a book they may not be familiar with, called the Bible. In this initial stage, it will show how the Bible is behind six of Shakespeare’s most popular works.
