ECPA issues correction to April’s bestsellers list for Bible Translations

The ECPA Christian bestsellers lists for April, released last week, contained an error in the Top Ten Bible Translations list. Here are the corrected top 5, with the full list online: (1) New International Version; (2) New Living Translation; (3) English Standard Version; (4) King James Version; (5) Christian Standard Bible.

Top Shelf Book Cover Award submissions now open

ECPA has opened the nomination period for the Top Shelf Book Cover Awards, developed to celebrate the year’s best book designs in Christian publishing.  In celebration of the program’s 10-year anniversary in 2022, awards will be presented in four categories:  Non-Fiction, Fiction, Children’s, Bibles.  Plus, each submitting publisher can nominate a designer to help with the judging. (As in previous years, judges will not score their houses’ own designs.)  The submission period is open until August 15.

International Christian Rights & Export Fair to be held June 28-29 in Chicago

Registration is now open for the ECPA International Christian Rights & Exports Fair, held June 28-29 on the campus of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Members of the international Christian publishing community will meet with publishers, vendors, and distributors to discuss rights, licensing and international sales. Registrants can choose to exhibit or attend.

The ECPA board of directors recently approved and welcomed HIM Publications as an ECPA small press associate.  HIM publishes discipleship materials that help churches become more mature.

Sony’s AFFIRM Originals, in association with Red Clay Studios, announce a deal with #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury. The production of “A Thousand Tomorrows” is currently casting and will film in Tulsa, Oklahoma beginning early May.
