GRAMMY®-winning Christian music artist and author Mandisa has died
GRAMMY®-winning Christian music artist Mandisa, 47, passed away at her home in Nashville on April 18, 2024. The platinum-selling singer first rose to fame while competing on season 5 of “American Idol.” She went on to release six studio albums and win a GRAMMY® for 2014’s “Overcomer.” In 2022, she bravely revealed her battle with depression in her intimate memoir, “Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God’s Joy” (K-LOVE Books).

Coming off a strong 2023 where David C Cook saw 24% growth in book sales, the company experienced its best Easter week ever, according to Bookscan, with a 45% increase over its previous top Easter week in 2021, significantly outperforming publishing industry averages for that same week.
