Destiny Image founder Don Nori dies at 66
Charisma News: Destiny Image Publishers Founder Don Nori died Tuesday, April 17, at age 66. The publishing house reported Nori was on his way to dinner on Sunday when he felt severe chest pains. He underwent major heart surgery. “Through his own writings, and through publishing the writings of thousands more, Don leaves behind a legacy of leading believers the world over into a deeper relationship with Christ,” according to the Destiny Image Facebook page. Destiny Image published multiple Spirit-filled authors, including James Goll, Bill Johnson, T.D. Jakes, Cindy Trimm, Myles Munroe, Sid Roth and more.
IVP launches #ReadWomen Campaign
In alignment with their longstanding commitment to women’s voices and leadership, InterVarsity Press will launch the #ReadWomen campaign, officially beginning May 1, 2018. This campaign takes after the #ReadWomen2014 campaign, which began when Joanna Walsh, a writer and illustrator, created bookmark-shaped New Year’s cards featuring her favorite writers, declaring 2014 “the year of reading women.” Walsh was quickly flooded with requests for the cards, and a social media movement took off.

The premiere training and networking event for Christian publishing professionals will be held November 6-7, 2018 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and will feature New York Times bestselling author and StoryBrand CEO Donald Miller.
Tyndale House enters publisher services agreement with LSC Communications
LSC Communications and Tyndale House Publishers have announced an agreement to enter a publisher services agreement. LSC Communications will be providing technology services to Tyndale House through their Harvest platform and suite of services. By utilizing Harvest, Tyndale will be able to reach global markets for seamless digital asset distribution, monitor e-commerce markets for audits and trends, and drive online product discoverability with enhanced, targeted metadata keyword optimizations.

Rachel Dylan, author of "Lone Witness" (Bethany House), will be hosting a Facebook launch party on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 8:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM PDT. Dan in 1994’s Forrest Gump, signed a two-book deal with Thomas Nelson that includes a memoir, Grateful American, slated for publication by Nelson Books in February 2019. The book covers Sinise’s life story as well as his passion for supporting and advocating for military personnel.
Plough to publish Mandela graphic novel
(Publishers Weekly) Plough Publishing House acquired English-language rights from French publisher, Delcourt, for graphic novel Mandela and the General by John Carlin and illustrated by Oriol Malet. Slated for publication on November 5, the book depicts anti-apartheid champion Nelson Mandela’s critical communication with the former chief of apartheid South Africa’s military, General Constand Viljoen, ahead of the first post-apartheid elections in 1994. The book is being timed around Mandela’s 100th birthday this year.
IVP takes world rights for two books from professor Rick Richardson
(Publishers Weekly) Senior editor at InterVarsity Press Al Hsu took world rights to two books by Rick Richardson, director of evangelism and leadership at Wheaton College Graduate School. The first book, tentatively titled How to Reach Unchurched Americans Today, explores research on reaching “nones,” or religiously unaffiliated people. It is slated for publication in summer 2019. The second book, tentative, Emerging Questions for an Emerging Generation, will follow in 2021. It will cover issues faced by millennials and post-millennials.
