ECPA Leadership Summit early bird rate ends on Friday: $7 a session!
The annual ECPA Virtual Leadership Summit will feature a total of 17 webinars and roundtables, spread out over 6 days with busy schedules in mind, on April 27-29 and May 4-6. In the first week, sessions will focus on the latest market data from NPD, growing online sales channels, and global printing and distribution in sessions and roundtables scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm (CST).
The following week, two segments will be held daily at 10 am and 1 pm (CST) and feature sessions relevant to the future of the industry with speakers Tod Bolsinger (Tempered Resilience), David French (The Dispatch, TIME), Michael Pietsch (CEO, Hachette Book Group), Daisy Hutton (Hachette Nashville), Madeline McIntosh (CEO, Penguin Random House), Tina Constable, (Waterbrook and Multnomah), Timothy Dalrymple (Christianity Today), Walter Kim (NAE), Thom Rainer (The Post Quarantine Church), and Dr. Nicole Martin (American Bible Society). On May 6, the conference will conclude with a Town Hall led by the ECPA board, and the annual ECPA Awards Celebration featuring Max Lucado.

The International Christian Publishing Conference, developed by ECPA rights professionals, will bring publishing and distribution professionals together from around the globe for a 2-day online conference this week, April 7-8 from 8 am to 10 am (central time). The conference will start with a keynote from international bestselling author Gary Chapman (The 5 Love Languages). Other sessions include panel discussions on: “The State of Global Publishing,” “Doing Rights Without Conventions,” “Expanding Distribution through Audio & Ebooks,” and “Using Social Media Platforms to Impact Sales.” It’s not too late to register.

The finalists in twelve Christian book categories will be announced at the end of this week for the 2021 Christian Book Award program. Five finalists are named in each category, unless there is a tie. Winners will be announced, along with the 2021 Christian Book of the Year®, on Thursday, May 6 at 1 pm (CST) via webcast. The ECPA Awards Celebration webcast will also feature Max Lucado, the recipient of the industry’s Pinnacle Award. MSNBC and NBC news anchor Richard Lui on Jesus Calling Podcast
MSNBC and NBC news anchor Richard Lui is the first Asian American man to anchor a daily national cable news program. He recently joined the Jesus Calling Podcast to share how as his career was soaring to new heights, he was presented with the greatest challenge yet: to care for his aging father who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Taking this opportunity as a lesson in selflessness, Richard was prepared to walk away from his dream job, but luckily was given a chance to balance both his career and his family. Richard shares about his father’s faithfulness throughout the years, and what he’s learned by being a caregiver. Lui’s book, Enough About Me, is available from Zondervan.
