Klaus E. Krogh, founder of 2K/DENMARK, has died
OCTOBER 6, 2026 — It is with great sadness that we announce that Klaus E. Krogh passed away suddenly Monday, October 5, at the age of 74. Klaus was the founder of 2K/DENMARK and, until recently, its CEO, as well as our daily colleague at the office in Aarhus, Denmark. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Liv, their two daughters, and two grandchildren.
While we process the shock of this sad news, we also look back with gratitude on the many years we have had working together with Klaus and experiencing his infectious enthusiasm. Two of Klaus’s great passions, typographic design and the Word of God, found their perfect union in Bible design and typesetting. This was the craft to which he faithfully dedicated his life, while always having energy to spare for new ideas and initiatives. He was a true force of nature, and he poured his whole heart into every single project – of which there were many.
Many of you will, like us, have seen Klaus envision and present a project with skill and great confidence, be it a new typeface design, an innovative Bible concept, or a new collaboration. One could get the sense that, by sheer will and determination, he almost willed the project into being. Such was his person, and such is the legacy he leaves behind: Innovative ambition and competent determination.
This is the heritage that we at 2K/DENMARK will proudly preserve and build upon. Between us, we have accumulated 73 years of experience working alongside Klaus’s influence and inspiration, and in grateful remembrance of him, we will continue his life’s work: to make the next Bible our best one yet.
On behalf of 2K/DENMARK
Sune Andersen, CEO
