The bestselling books and Bibles of 2018
The results are in for the top 100 bestselling books and Bibles for 2018 produced by ECPA member publishers, and based on POS data provided by NPD Bookscan. Congratulations to Rachel Hollis and Thomas Nelson for writing and publishing the #1 book of 2018, Girl, Wash Your Face. A true “crossover” title, the book was the #3 bestseller overall in the general market.

The bestselling Christmas 2018 titles from ECPA publishers
ECPA’s analysis of the bestselling books in 2018 includes the Christmas Bestseller lists. The top five titles on the Christmas NonFiction list includes five authors by five different publishers. On the Christmas Juvenile list, six of the top 10 positions are held by Christmas books published by Ideals/Worthy Publishing, including the #1 and #2 titles.
LifeWay to close some stores in shift toward digital channels
Publishers Weekly: LifeWay Christian Stores faces a number of closures amid “an accelerated rate of erosion” at brick-and-mortar stores, according to an email from LifeWay Christian Resources president Thom Ranier, as reported on BP News. “We prayed and hoped that our investments would prove fruitful,” he wrote. “That just has not been the case.”
