HCCP aligns sales and marketing operations under unified leadership
HarperCollins Christian Publishing has announced its plan to join sales and centralized marketing operations under a unified leadership structure that better positions its retail partners to capitalize on the company’s best-in-class marketing resources. Doug Lockhart will lead this strategy for the company as senior v-p Sales and Centralized Marketing.

A new generation of Christian activists is rising up, encouraging people to take control of their lives and do good in the world. They are pastors, speakers, life coaches, and nonprofit innovators, and their books are populating ECPA’s Top 50 Bestsellers for July. At #1 is Get Out of Your Head: Stopping the Spiral of Toxic Thoughts by IF: Conference founder Jennie Allen (WaterBrook). This is the first time it has held the #1 spot in 2021.
Judges announced for annual Top Shelf Book Cover Award program: Entries accepted until Aug. 31
ECPA has named three judges who will review submissions for the Top Shelf Book Cover Award this year. They are renown designers: Tyler Deeb (Misc. Goods Co.), Trish Mahoney (The Mahoney Studio), and Mike Ryan (Journey Group). ECPA members can nominate their best book and Bible covers to the Top Shelf program until August 31, for titles released between June 2020 and August 2021. Winners will be announced on November 12 as the closing session of PubU Online.
The Christy Award® program announces fall online event dates
ECPA and The Christy Award® advisory committee have released the dates and program for the Art of Writing seminars and The Christy Award finalist and winner presentations for this fall. The sessions will be offered online, starting on September 30 and airing weekly through October 28:

She will work alongside Megan Dobson, the v-p and publisher for Zonderkidz, to steward brands including "The Beginner’s Bible" and "The Berenstain Bears."
