Jeffrey Reynolds, Director of Finance for Moody, has died
Jeffrey L. Reynolds, age 63, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. For more than forty years he worked at Moody Bible Institute. Jeff loved his family and showed God’s love to others by his actions and words. Jeff will be deeply missed by many.

Christian bestseller lists posted for July, 2024
ECPA has released the monthly Christian bestseller lists for July 2024 in 15 categories. The top-selling book is “Prophetic Reset” by Joshua Giles (Chosen Books/ Baker Publishing Group) with “Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer (WaterBrook) and “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson) coming in at #2 and #3.
ECPA PubU to cover latest topics for Production & Operations professionals
This year’s ECPA PubU program, held November 13-14 in Chicago, will feature five publishing tracks plus a Children’s Book Summit including a track of sessions for professionals in production or operations led by Jenn Butenschoen (Director of Production & Digital Content at Harvest House Publishers) and Fanny Gonzalez (Operations and Business Analysis Manager at Lexham Press). Several sessions will feature these topics: supply chain, industry partnerships, metadata, collaborating well, contracts, paper options, and more.
PubU features tracks in Marketing, Publicity, Editorial, Design, Production & Operations, and Children’s Books – along with a program for Emerging Leaders. All publishing professionals from ECPA member companies are invited. Early bird registration is now open!

Two IVP titles named 2024 American Fiction Award finalists
American Book Fest has named “The Surface of Water” by Cynthia Beach and “Zion Learns to See,” by Terence and Zion Lester, and illustrated by Subi Bosa as finalists of the 2024 American Fiction Awards. The IVP finalists join a prestigious group of past honorees, including Pope Francis, Amy Tan, Anne Lamott, George Sanders, and many others.

David C Cook has been awarded a Gold Milestone Sales Award by the Evangelical Christian Publisher’s Association for selling 500,000 copies of “What Does It Mean to Be Chosen?.” The interactive Bible study, written by Amanda Jenkins, Dallas Jenkins, and Douglas S. Huffman, is based on Season 1 of the popular television series, The Chosen.
