IVP reports that Amazon sold $240K of ‘Liturgy of the Ordinary’ fakes
Christianity Today — Thousands of readers ended up with copies of “Liturgy of the Ordinary” that didn’t quite look like the book Tish Harrison Warren and InterVarsity Press (IVP) had finalized three years ago. The cover was not as sharp. The pages were a bit off-center. These were not IVP’s books at all. They were counterfeits.

Baker Publishing Group and (in)courage announce partnership in publishing
Baker Publishing Group is pleased to announce that they have entered into a partnership with (in)courage, the women’s ministry and online content platform of DaySpring Cards, Inc. Revell, one of six divisions of Baker Publishing Group, will produce eight Bible studies, two devotionals, and two books over the next three years. The first publication will be available in Fall 2020.

ECPA has announced the session topics and leaders for the third annual Art of Writing conference. This half-day event, held the afternoon of November 6, is designed to bring together writers, authors and publishing curators — and will feature intensive seminars that celebrate the creative life and provide practical tips for the challenges in this rapidly changing industry. The opening session will feature LYSA TERKEURST, President of Proverbs 31 Ministries, founder of COMPEL training, and New York Times bestselling author. Her keynote will also serve as the closing session of ECPA PubU, a publisher training event, held Nov. 5-6 at Lipscomb University. The other three training sessions offered that afternoon, before The Christy Award gala ensues, will be led by authors JAMES RUBART, ANNE BOGEL, and a panel of publishing marketing professionals moderated by AMY GREEN.
