HarperCollins Christian Publishing moves Zondervan Books to Nashville, Tenn.
HarperCollins Christian Publishing announced today it will be relocating the Zondervan Books and Zondervan Thrive imprints from Grand Rapids, Mich. to be based in its corporate office in Nashville, Tenn. This will allow for sharing of best practices across the company’s trade book publishing program for both Thomas Nelson and Zondervan publishing groups. At this time, the company will continue to maintain an office in Grand Rapids, Mich. where other Zondervan brands are based. Those brands include Zondervan Academic, Zondervan Reflective, Zonderkidz, and the Zondervan Bible Group. Webster Younce will be the VP, Publisher; and Paul Fisher will be VP, Marketing.
Read More...ECPA PubU goes Online in series of daily training webinars in September
ECPA’s annual Fall training program – ECPA PubU – has been re-imagined as a virtual event called PubU Online, delivering potent, accessible training and connection for the industry this September. The ECPA PubU Online program will present over 20 webinars – one per day – in five training tracks developed by the PubU Online Brain Trust, a committee of industry leaders led by Randall Payleitner, the associate publisher at Moody Publishers.
Track sessions will occur on the same day of the week, Monday through Thursday, throughout the month. However, the one low registration price of $99 will allow attendees access to all webinars plus several plenary and “master class” training sessions, online communities, and Zoom meet-ups. The event will be open to ECPA members only.
Three plenary sessions will focus on the theme, “PUBLISHING IN A TIME OF CRISIS,” featuring Dr. Theon Hill, Kristen McLean, and others.
ECPA member webinar this Thursday will explore the current legal landscape for publishers
This Thursday will mark the last webinar in the ECPA member Virtual Summit Series with a conversation about “Navigating the Legal Landscape.” Held on June 25, the webcast will feature four of the top legal and public policy experts in publishing as they discuss the legal issues facing publishers today and in the future: Luisa Simpson, SVP of Global Policy for AAP; Matthew Barblan, VP of Public Policy for AAP; Brian Flagler, Managing Partner, Flagler Law Group; and Craig Gipson, Associate, Flagler Law Group.
International Christian publishers creatively meet pandemic publishing challenges
Times of crisis require innovation, and Christian publishers in less-resourced countries are up to the challenge. Despite the hardships posed by lockdowns and scarcity of resources, Christian publishers are staying relevant and active during the COVID-19 pandemic.
