Fiction submissions accepted until March 31
The industry’s premiere Christian fiction award program, The Christy Award™, is now accepting submissions in nine categories until March 31. The categories are:
- GENERAL (includes women’s fiction and non-genre)
- CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
- HISTORICAL ROMANCE
- HISTORICAL
- MYSTERY/SUSPENSE/THRILLER
- VISIONARY (includes fantasy and apocalyptic)
- FIRST NOVEL
- YOUNG ADULT
- SHORT FORMAT (novellas, series)
Bible Society Australia to give away Gospel of Luke editions for Commonwealth Games
More than 6600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories will converge on the Gold Coast for the XXI Commonwealth Games in 2018. Taking advantage of this brilliant opportunity to get the good news into the people’s hands, Bible Society has produced 20,000 copies of a special edition of the Gospel of Luke, called Priceless, and has teamed up with a group called Beyond Gold, who will distribute them to participants, spectators and volunteers.
Dr. Roy Peterson of American Bible Society added to Leadership Summit speaker roster
Dr. Roy Peterson, President of The American Bible Society, will address publishing leaders at the upcoming ECPA Leadership Summit, to be held May 1-2 at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC. Dr. Peterson, Mart Green (Hobby Lobby, Every Tribe Every Nation), and Bobby Gruenewald (YouVersion) will give attendees the latest data about “God’s Word in the World” in a session that includes group discussion.
The 2-day event will also feature author and DC pastor Mark Batterson, David Barker (ReaderLink), Montse Alvarado (The Becket Fund), professor Alan Jacobs (How to Think), Kristen McLean (NPD Book), pastor Bryan Loritts (Kainos Movement), Michele Sanchez (ECC), U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black, Charles Causey (former Pentagon chaplain), and more. Says ECPA executive director Stan Jantz: “All of the presenters at Leadership Summit will be focusing on ideas and strategies publishers can use to more effectively reach and engage readers.”
Early-bird $200 discount rates are in effect for 10 more days, until March 15. ECPA members and multi-attendees receive additional discounts.
