ECPA Leadership Summit challenges publishing leaders to “go deeper”
Hailed by many attendees as ECPA’s “best yet,” the industry’s Leadership Summit drew 150 publishing executives at the newly opened Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. The Summit reverently opened with U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black who summoned attendees to trust God amidst the storm or what may seem as silence. Other highlights included: Bryan Loritts’ challenge to embrace innovation over traditionalism; Michelle Sanchez on the Church’s need for discipleship materials on race, power, and sex; Consumer and retail data presented in sessions by Kristen McLean (NPD) and David Barker (ReaderLink); Report from the top leaders in Bible translation and distribution — Dr. Roy Peterson (American Bible Society), Bobby Gruenewald (YouVersion), and Mart Green (ETEN).
The 2019 ECPA Leadership Summit is scheduled for April 30-May 1 in Chicago. For more information, sign up for event updates.
2018 Christian Book Award® winners announced
ECPA announced the winners of the 2018 Christian Book Awards® in 11 categories, and named the 2018 Christian Book of the Year® as Jesus Always by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson). The announcements were made at the ECPA Awards Celebration held at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC, during the ECPA Leadership Summit. The evening featured Anne Graham Lotz as keynote and celebrated the 40th anniversary of ECPA Christian Book Awards.
