Laura Minchew named SVP, Children’s and Gift Group Publisher for HarperCollins Christian Publishing and HarperCollins Focus
Laura Minchew has been appointed to senior vice president, Children’s and Gift Group publisher for HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) and HarperCollins Focus (HC Focus). In addition, Michael Aulisio, former VP of marketing for Tommy Nelson and Gift books for HarperCollins Christian Publishing, will become the vice president of marketing for the children’s and gift group of HarperCollins Christian Publishing and HarperCollins Focus.

Glowing feedback for the industry’s premiere training event for publishing practitioners, ECPA PubU, is pouring into the ECPA offices. Over 200 publishing professionals gathered on the Lipscomb University campus earlier this month for the annual event. PubU, developed by industry leaders, featured more than 40 seminars in six specialized tracks for editorial, marketing, publicity, design, data & workflow, and emerging leadership. NYT bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst (pictured with Meredith Brock and Mark Glesne) shared her approach to connecting with readers. Nashville-based musician and author Andrew Peterson delivered an inspiring opening keynote. Next year’s PubU is scheduled for November 10-11 back in Nashville.

There’s a new book atop ECPA’s Top 50 Bestsellers list for November. In just a month since its release, Everything You Need by David Jeremiah (Thomas Nelson) is the #1 selling Christian book in the land. Right behind is The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Moody Publishers), followed by Jonathan Cahn’s The Oracle (Frontline/ Charisma House), which is also the #1 title in the Top 25 Fiction list for the second month in a row.
