ECPA releases November’s list of bestsellers: New titles shine
Five of the Top 10 books in the November Top 50 Bestsellers list compiled by NPD BookScan are brand new releases, hitting the shelves (both real and virtual) on or after October 1. Debuting at #1 is Capital Gaines by Chip Gaines (Thomas Nelson) of Fixer Upper fame. David Jeremiah’s new release, A Life Beyond Amazing (Thomas Nelson) came in at #2, followed by The Daniel Dilemma by mega church pastor Chris Hodges (Thomas Nelson) at #5. Rounding out the Top 10 at #8 and #9 respectively are new books by two bestselling authors—T.D. Jakes’ Soar! (FaithWords), and Donald Miller’s Building a Storybrand, the first title released under the new HarperCollins Leadership imprint.
FaithWords and JellyTelly announce a new Children’s book imprint

Read More...Industry converges in Nashville: PubU, Top Shelf Awards, Art of Writing, Christy Awards™ Gala
ECPA PubU begins tomorrow at Lipscomb University in Nashville with 250 industry professionals attending 42 publishing sessions developed by publishing leaders on hot topics in editorial, marketing/publicity, reader engagement, rights, design, and data/delivery/workflow. Gabe Lyons will keynote the opening plenary which will also include the announcement of the Top Shelf Book Cover Awards. Following PubU, ECPA will host its first Art of Writing conference, a half day seminar for content creators and curators. The event will precede The Christy Awards Gala that evening where the Christy Award winners will be announced.
The Christy Awards Gala will be live-streamed on Instagram through Litfuse Media. To watch, follow Litfuse on Instagram, then log in to the app when the gala begins. You’ll find the live-stream at the top of the app.

“The Myth of Equality” earns spot among Publishers Weekly’s Top Books of 2017
InterVarsity Press is pleased to announce that “The Myth of Equality: Uncovering the Roots of Injustice and Privilege” by Ken Wytsma earned a spot in Publishers Weekly’s list of top one hundred books of 2017 as one of the five best religion titles of the year.
