ECPA Art of Writing program tackles mental health for creatives in upcoming webinar

This Thursday, The Christy Award® Art of Writing program will feature a session on “Emotional, Spiritual, and Mental Health for Creatives” with credentialed speakers in mental health:  Holly Oxhandler PhD, LMSW (The Soul of the Helper); Diana Gruver MA, Gordon-Conwell (Companions in the Darkness); and Sarah J. Robinson (I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die).  They will share strategies for writing from a place of courage.  Last week’s webinar with industry sensitivity readers, explored how writers can write authentically about ethnicities, disabilities, and histories, they don’t personally share.

PubU Online to present sessions on DEI practices in Christian publishing on November 9

On Tuesday, November 9, PubU Online will present four sessions and two networking round tables in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion track. The program was developed by Embolden Media Group CEO Jevon Bolden and IVP marketing manager Maila Kim.  Sessions will feature 10 industry experts speaking on:

CNN anchor Christi Paul recently joined the Jesus Calling Podcast to share how she dealt with an abusive spouse and didn’t know where to turn, until she was at the end of her rope and a verse from Proverbs brought her hope that she could trust God to find a way out—not her own understanding. Paul’s book, “Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt,” is available from Tyndale House Publishers.
