Christian Bestseller lists are posted for September
ECPA has released the monthly Christian bestseller lists for September 2023 in 15 categories. The top-selling book is new release “Like A River” by Granger Smith (Thomas Nelson). Sarah Young, author of “Jesus Calling” who died earlier this month, has four books that placed in the Top 50 bestsellers.

ECPA announces sessions and meet-ups in six tracks for PubU Online: Oct 27 to Nov 13
Industry leaders serving on the PubU Brain Trust have announced their track sessions for the upcoming online conference, ECPA PubU. Sessions, meetups, and master classes will be offered from October 27 to November 13 in six training tracks:
- Editorial Track: Oct. 30-Nov. 2nd at 10 am CT
- Marketing Track: Oct. 30-Nov. 2nd at 12 pm CT
- Children’s Book Summit: Nov. 6-9 at 10 am CT

Call for Submissions in 12 categories for Christian Book Awards through Sep. 30
ECPA has opened the nomination period for the 2024 Christian Book Award® program on September 1st in twelve categories for titles published between October 2022 and October 2023. Categories are: Audio, Bibles, Bible Reference, Bible Study, Ministry Resources, Biography & Memoir, Christian Living, Faith & Culture, Devotion & Gift, Children, Young People’s Literature, and New Author.

Online conference features publishers, agents and authors to elevate Christian fiction
The Christy Award® program, recognizing excellence in Christian fiction, will present a series of webinars this fall to elevate the Art of Writing. Publishers, agents and authors will present four sessions on Thursday evenings this fall, Oct. 19 to Nov. 9. For the first time, registrants can also opt to “add-on” a publisher consult.

Baker Publishing Group authors win five Carol Awards
ACFW announced the 2023 Carol Award winners on August 26. Five Baker Publishing Group authors were recipients of this prestigious award, including Sara Brunsvold, whose debut novel, “The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip,” won the Debut Author category. Additional Carol Award winners were “The Lost Melody” by Joanna Davidson Politano (Historical), “Word of Honor” by Hallee Bridgman (Romantic Suspense), “Written on the Wind” by Elizabeth Camden (Historical Romance), and “Turn to Me” by Becky Wade (Romance).
