Last call for ECPA PubU early bird rates: Deadline is Friday
ECPA members can save the most by registering their teams by Friday for PubU, held Nov. 13-14 in Chicago. The early bird rate ends September 27 and offers $200 in savings — plus, for every five registrations, the sixth registration is free. Attendees receive access to the premier training program among five publishing tracks and a Children’s Book Summit, recorded master classes, and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and colleagues in-person!

Christian Book Award nominations accepted for one more week
Nominations are accepted through September 30 for the 2025 Christian Book Award® program for titles published between October 2023 and October 2024. Submission categories are Audio, Bibles, Bible Reference, Bible Study, Ministry Resources, Biography & Memoir, Christian Living, Faith & Culture, Devotion & Gift, Children, Young People’s Literature, and New Author. Core Publishing Solutions receives 2024 Innovator of the Year
Core Publishing Solutions was recently named as recipient of one of Printing Impressions’ 2024 Innovators of the Year Award. Nominated by printing industry experts and consultants who identified them as pushing the boundaries of innovation, Thomson Reuters Global Print segment had to completely reinvent itself into a digital powerhouse after a 150 year-run publishing and manufacturing books for legal and tax professionals.

BBC features 2K/DENMARK as leader in sustainable publishing
BBC: Publishers try skinnier books to save money and emissions. A leader in this field is Sustainable Typesetting, a project of the design and typesetting company 2K/DENMARK. One of the company’s focus areas is complex typesetting for long texts, including Bibles. Andreas Stobberup, project lead at 2K/DENMARK, says that Sustainable Typesetting can achieve page count reductions of up to 50%, although he recommends less dramatic changes for novels.

ECPA PubU will feature new track for publicity professionals
ECPA PubU will gather publicity professionals for a series of sessions related strategically to what they do. Track leaders Andrea Martin (Tyndale House) and Tara Burns (InterVarsity Press) have put together a program to offer invaluable insight from top industry professionals, to help hone publicity skills and broaden contact databases across six customized publicity sessions for those both new or well established in the industry:
