On June 22, 2016, Deb Haggerty purchased Elk Lake Publishing, establishing the company as a corporation at their lovely home on beautiful Boot Pond. She had a dream, a calling and a mission to publish new authors that God sent to her, through positive books that would spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and impact lives around the world. So, on June 22, 2026, we celebrated ten incredible years with Elk Lake Publishing, Inc.
A Decade of God’s Faithfulness
Over the past decade, that vision has grown into a thriving publishing company of authors, speakers, and storytellers who have shared messages of faith, hope, encouragement, and transformation with countless readers. From a small company of fewer than forty authors, Elk Lake has grown to a midsized company of over 300 authors and more than 600 books in print. Elk Lake publishes between sixty and one hundred books per year, both fiction and nonfiction.
Deb is an astute businesswoman, accomplished speaker, author, and unwavering visionary. She has founded multiple organizations, encouraged thousands through her writing and speaking, and dedicated her life to helping others discover God’s grace and purpose.
Deb has published two of her own books, Experiencing God’s Love in a Broken World with her husband Roy, and These Are the Days of My Life, a collection of vignettes she wrote over the years designed to encourage and educate those who read her book.
Together, Deb and Roy have built far more than a publishing company. They have created a community, a ministry, and a place where authors are encouraged, supported, and empowered to share their God-give stories.
These days, Deb spends much of her time traveling and caring for others, including her wonderful daughter, Pebbles Wireman, also an author. She still is the final editor and formatter for every book Elk Lake publishes.
Deb says, “Everything I’ve done in my life has prepared me for and brought me to this moment where God is fulfilling all my dreams for his glory. Count it all joy!”
Roy and Deb live just outside Plymouth, Massachusetts. They have two daughters, one grandson, and two grandpups.
