COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 8, 2017)—This week marks the launch of The Bindery, a new literary agency and consulting firm founded by Alexander Field, former VP & Publisher at WaterBrook & Multnomah, imprints of Penguin Random House.
The Bindery is an ambitious, full-service literary agency working closely with authors to set big goals, shape their book ideas, create robust book proposals, and build a marketing and platform strategy, long before anything hits an editor’s desk.
In addition to representing authors directly, The Bindery will also consult with organizations seeking to exploit their intellectual property through strategic publishing options, and develop book projects with select authors outside of the traditional publishing model.
“In nearly 18 years of working in publishing, I’ve always been passionate about partnering with writers and communicators, leaders and luminaries to create compelling content experiences,” Field said. “Through The Bindery, we will work with authors to shape and develop ideas and stories while seeking to serve publishers at the highest possible level.”
Founder & Principal of The Bindery, Alexander Field, launched the business this week after a three-year stint as VP & Publisher of WaterBrook & Multnomah, Imprints of Penguin Random House where he published many books including the 2016 ECPA Christian Book of the Year, Shaken, by Tim Tebow. Prior to that Field was Publisher at David C. Cook, where he worked for nearly six years with authors such as Francis Chan, Matt Chandler, J. Warner Wallace, and Kyle Idleman.
