Winning Best Bible, Devotional and Gift, and Young People’s Literature among the honors
(Nashville, TN) May 5, 2017—HarperCollins Christian Publishing announced today the company’s two publishing groups, Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, were given three 2017 Christian Book Awards®, cumulatively, as well as one Platinum and four Gold Awards for sales achievement.
At this year’s conference, held in Colorado Springs, CO, both Thomas Nelson and Zondervan were also recognized at the ECPA Awards Celebration on Tuesday evening, May 2, 2017, for accomplishing two major sales milestone achievements.
The 2017 Christian Book Award winners include:
- “NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible,” editors Craig S. Keener and John H. Walton (Zondervan)- Bibles
- “A Spectacle of Glory,” by Joni Eareckson Tada with Larry Libby (Zondervan)- Devotion and Gift
- “Unblemished” by Sara Ella (Thomas Nelson)- Young People’s Literature
The Platinum Award for outstanding sales achievements, reaching more than one million units sold, was given to “The Magnolia Story” by Chip and Joanna Gaines with Mark Dagostino (Thomas Nelson). Additionally, four titles were honored with Gold Awards for reaching over 500,000 units sold. These titles were:
- “Jesus Always” by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson)
- “The Noticer” by Andy Andrews (Thomas Nelson)
- “Sacred Marriage” by Gary Thomas (Zondervan)
- “Uninvited” by Lysa TerKeurst (Thomas Nelson)
