Beth Adams, Senior Editor of Howard Books, has been promoted to Executive Editor. Since joining Howard in 2012, Beth worked with authors such as Allison Pataki, Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein, Laura Schroff, and Deeanne Gist. Beth will continue to be based out of Atria’s New York City office.
Additionally, Becky Nesbitt will return to Howard Books as Editor-At-Large, based in Nashville, and reporting to Beth Adams. Becky was previously with Howard (2009-2015) and worked with authors such as Karen Kingsbury, Tosca Lee, Jay Sekulow, and Wm. Paul Young.
Senior Editor Philis Boultinghouse has announced her retirement as of September 29. “Over the last 30 years Philis has worked with some of the most influential, well-known and highly esteemed authors in Christian publishing including Donald Miller, Sarah Bessey, Brad Paisley, Dr. Henry Cloud, Chip Ingram, Point of Grace, Steve Brown, Tony Campolo and many more,” wrote Judith Carr, president and publisher of Atria Books. “Philis has also acquired and edited some of Howard’s most successful and bestselling authors, including Dr. Charles Stanley, The Duggar family, and all of the phenomenally popular books written by various members of the Robertson family, a.k.a the ‘Duck Dynasty.’”
