Williams’s debut young adult thriller, Hunt for Eden’s Star, kicked off the Beacon Hill series on April 4, 2023, released from Wander, the YA imprint of Tyndale House Publishers. Kirkus praised Hunt for Eden’s Star for its “fast-paced action” as the “beginning of a promising paranormal saga.”
The series opener quickly garnered traction, reaching number one status on Amazon’s Hot New Releases in Teen & Young Adult Christian Action & Adventure, prerelease. Hunt for Eden’s Star has seen strong sales since its release, with Williams recently finishing a 15-city book tour selling out at Barnes & Noble stores along the West Coast and Arizona. In conjunction with the publication of Hunt for Eden’s Star, D. J. released an original soundtrack, several book trailers, and a web series taking readers behind the scenes of writing the Beacon Hill series entitled Chasing Lewis, Tolkien & Rowling, all of which have received strong engagement.
