GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Kregel Publications announces the expansion and enhancement of its trade publishing staff.
Senior marketing director Mark Rice has stepped into the role of publisher after a period as interim publisher. In this role, Mark aims to continue to help Kregel revamp its publishing strategy and take new strides for the English trade department.
“I have greatly appreciated the way Mark has helped us refocus our publishing strategy, led staff, further developed relationships with agents and authors, and overall injected a positive energy and momentum to our English publishing program,” says Jerry Kregel, president of Kregel Publications.
Hannah Rethman has been promoted to sales and marketing associate after over one and a half years at the company. Hannah initially served as a marketing intern and then as marketing assistant. As sales and marketing associate, Hannah will continue working with Mark Rice to manage marketing operations, author care and communications, and launch plans.
“Kregel’s trade publishing program is growing thanks to the strength of its talented staff and the quality of people we’ve been able to hire and promote,” says Mark Rice. “We hired Hannah as an intern, and she has quickly demonstrated her capacity for more. In her new role, she will lead our marketing promotions and schedules.”
On September 8, Bridget Boshnakian joined Kregel as social media and digital marketing coordinator. She graduated from Cornerstone University and brings her experience in communications and marketing. Bridget will work with the marketing team to drive stronger engagement and conversions via digital channels and social media marketing.
“Digital and web-based marketing is central to every book launch and the backlist marketing we do. Bridget will bring experience, skill, and increased attention to this area of our marketing enterprise,” says Mark.
